Congrats firefly... That is hooray news!

We've been able to log into ecas for a few weeks but all it says is we have received your app...i can't wait for more news!

What an awesome end to the weekend, or start to the week! :)

Did you tried calling CIC, to know if its approved? I found somewhere in these forum that one of the member tried calling CIC after he received AOR and they inform him that his application is already approved and sent to his VO...

Awesome, I got AOR yesterday but when i try to login nothing shows up may be it takes some time.

There are two things UCI and Application no. which i received. How r u trying to login using ur application no. / UCI ID. Ru sponsor or application?

Thank you, and congrats!
My husband is the sponsor. We logged in using his client ID, his last name, his birth date, his place of birth. This worked.
Then I logged in using MY client ID, my last name, my DOB, my country of birth. This also worked.
Then we tried our immigration file number with his name, etc... Did not work.
Then we tried our receipt number with his name etc... Did not work.
So only the client ID works for us.
His login shows more info than mine.
I hope it works for you soon! :)

Oh golly, that's a long time to wait. I assumed they made a decision within 3 to 5 days based on other people's stats. We must be in a major backlog from the holidays. But I'm sure you'll hear something new this week. I have a good feeling for you!

After reading that a few people had called and gotten turned away I decided not to call... When the site says working on apps as of jan 11 then I'll call.

I'm hoping I'll hear from them before that tho

I agree with you alf+jlh... i'm gonna wait too.. we know there's something wrong with the website.. perhaps tomorrow it will be corrected and it will be even beyond our date. Good luck when you do call :) but perhaps you'll get that email you've been waiting for already? :) fingers crossed :)

I am really hoping that it is beyond our date!!

A friend told me that she read in the paper (in Vancouver) that there is a backlog of immigration/resident apps, so the gov hired a bunch of people recently to help. Hopefully that means things are gonna start sailing!

Hi all,

I really hope this week would be OUR week ...

Good luck to all of us Januarians and hope to hear lots of good news ... :) :) :)

GOOD LUCK!!! TO ALL OF US...
CANT WAIT TO HEAR SOME GOOD NEWS....

HOW DO I UPDATE MY APPlication STATUS HERE? file was sent on 10th jan, reached on 13th jan, medicals done on 8th dec 2011....VO- new delhi, awaiting sponsor approval...

i have a feeling, my husband will get a mail from CIC in this week for sponsorship approval.....and here's praying all of us in this waiting game, get to hear good news in this week, itself... oh pls god :)))

but someone pls guide, i wish to know, how does it work... first the mail comes from CIC that they have received the app and they are working on it and post that, they will let us know on the status of sponsorship approval(which again comes through email? or by post?) how we keep a track of the file, once we get to hear from CIC that they have given sponsorship approval?
after that, how long does it take for them to send the file to Local VO? is there any way to track, that when the file has reached VO and whats happening there....?
Thanks!

All the very Best to all of us...... Indeed, this is our WEEK :))

I have a question

Once it gets transferred to Buffalo-- does it really take 11 months??

It takes 11 months or less to process 80% of files according to the most recent update based on the last 12 months' of date.

Thanks. I just see so many people on here who got their visa way quicker than the processing times quoted on CIC

You update your timeline by going to "Profile" and then "Forum Related Information." I think you need at least one more post in order to be able to do this, by the way. Communications from CIC can come either by email or post. You track through e-cas and GCMS notes.

Right, I mentioned before that the difference with the processing time for step 2 is that it's way more vague and not dependable compared to step 1. If you look at the Buffalo spreadsheet, you'll see that the measures of central tendency go from 161 to 198 days from filing to PPR (so it includes step 1), but there is a pretty high variance. In addition, it's not clear that the Buffalo processing time incorporates files reviewed at the 4 satellite offices and an increasing number of files get sent there from Buffalo.
