mine status is not updated yet just medical results received ...
am waiting to see my status updated as mine same mates who apllied and got ppr request on same days as mine got decision made

i feel low god plz give me sum news where mine passport is

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update and see if anyone has any advice! We were told that on March 28 my husband was approved as sponsor, but never received anything in writing. I called CIC-M Friday and they said that they can't send anything in writing, but that the file is in Buffalo. So I emailed Buffalo on Friday and received a response today saying that they do not have my file.

Any thoughts on what to do here????

Why didn't you get anything in writing? So far we haven't either. I'm hoping a letter was mailed since I didn't get an email. But ecas says decision made.

Maybe buffalo hasn't opened it yet? How long does it usually take? Maybe it was fwd to Seattle?

We received ******* application for permanent residence on January 18, 2012.

We started processing ******** application on May 2, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on ******* application. The office will contact ****** concerning this decision.

I agree with previous replies....start packing you bags...passport is almost at your doorstep. Congratulations!

this process will never stop to amaze me i'm sorry u have this headache

ok first u need to insist on getting the letter (what the agent told u is false: everyone gets a letter or email; many need that letter for various reasons: quebec applicants (it's mandatory), visit visas, trying to enter Canada, etc)...also with the letter u could send it to Buffalo and they can do a more careful search of ur file

second don't get too worried and don't despair: u know how missisauga was saying they don't have any file for like 60-90 days same with them, Buffalo; maybe ur file is there, noone opened it yet or maybe it was transfered already to a satellite office; call Missisauga again tomorrow and ask them to confirm u where the file is and to re-send u the letter; stop calling only after u managed to speak with an agent who actually fulfilled ur requests best of luck and keep us updated!!

Hi everyone. Ecas says decision made may 16 but I didn't get an email. The office is closed today. did anyone get an email AOR and then a snail mail approval? We are so anxious to know the decision!

yes i think there were a few people: i think Amanda, maybe Amoss....if i'm mistaken they will correct me
it's really strange that the aor would b email but the approval snail mail.....why :-\

Ok I feel better. How long from the approval date until you got the letter in the mail? I just checked our mailbox, nothing. Boo. I am calling first thing in the morning! I can't wait!

I called on a Monday and got the letter by the Wednesday. But I live only 4hours from Ottawa so it wouldn't ate more than that to get to me.

I THINK I got my PR approval letter yesterday. The wording wasn't quite as dazzling as I had somehow imagined.

"YOUR PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA WILL BE VALID FOR TRAVEL UNTIL: *11/07/2012
* date appears in MM/DD/YY format"

I thought at the very least, there would be confetti, or maybe a puppy.

Thanks! ... I think it will be another 3 weeks at least until my COPR arrives in the mail though.
I was really lucky that I had the choice of applying in Australia. I think if I had to do it anywhere else, I would have flown to China or Turkey where they claim to process the quickest -- and just take a 5 month holiday.

Oh! Well yeah, it seems like the best way to choose is to look at all the spread sheets for each month. I don't think the quarterly forecasts on the immigration website are very accurate.
