Everyone, i have a question regarding jackets in Canada, everyone is telling me that jackets in my country cannot be used in Canada due to the extreme cold weather, i will be landing in mid-March, do you think i should buy jackets upon my arrival? or March will be fine to go on with normal winter jackets? can you recommend good brands that are affordable?

You can get by with a normal jacket if you wear a sweater or two underneath, even in the middle of winter. Just come with your jacket and if you feel cold, you can buy a thicker one or wear more underneath.

It really depends on where in Canada you will be living, and where you are coming from (i.e., what you are used to). The temperature is still fairly cold in Mid-March (and April) so you will definitely need a warm coat. Lots of stores are having sales on coats right now since it has been just a temperate winter to date, and some good brands to consider that are reasonably priced are North Face, Helly Hansen, Marmot and Columbia.

The stores here are already putting all winter jackets for sale. By the time you come, either they will be priced cheaper or you won't have many choices to pick. you will find jackets ranging from $30 to $600. old navy or many stores selling on sale. above all, we are having the warmest winter. bring one. if you think it doesn't help for cold, buy one here. having two jackets is no harm. i hope you got it.
