Hey everyone, I'm experiencing something complicated and I can't even make contact with IRCC. I thought maybe someone here can help me with that. I've lost my passport while studying in Toronto and had to get a new one. But of course, my visa was on the old one which means I don't have my visa on my new passport. Although I still have my work permit and study permit, the passport number is my old passport's. I don't know what to do in this situation. Please respond me if any of you experienced something like that or know what to do with this problem. Thank yoı.

Register a police complaint and once police certifies that you genuinely lost your passport, apply for new passport using that police certificate. Then amend your study permit to include your new passport details. Then you can apply for visa with new study permit.
I have a relevant question and would be grateful if you can help me with it:
If I have recently renewed my passport while my study permit is still valid (valid until December 2022), do I have to apply for a new study permit?

No, simply carry/show your old passport, current passport and study permit if you need to travel/return to Canada or when you need to show your residency status in Canada to relevant authorities.
