ITA Uploading Proof of funds

Hi Guys

In the final stages of uploading our ITA for my spouse and I and have got 2 issues

1. Barclays wont send me a letter proving my funds. I have therefore decided to scan my last 6months worth of statements. However i cannot upload the statement as it is over 10mb and the CIC allowance is only 4mb!
Has anyone else had this issue? Barclays are so damn annoying!!!!!

2. CIC has asked me to prove my surname before marriage? will my marriage certificate be sufficient?

Try compressing your file with smallpdf.com.

1) scan them smaller or compress (i got 59 pages of common law proof (leases, 6 months of bank statements and letters from 6 years of relationships under 4mb...You can do it!)

Nope. But almost all UK banks fall under the same we-dont-know-how-to-write-letters stupidity.

I thought the uploads have to be semi-decent quality? If i compress anymore the text/barclays logo goes slightly 'pixelated'

Kryt0n - Did you use LOE to expand about Barclays.... If so what sort of thig did you write.

It's readable, amazingly. I have the super business level Adobe with built in compression but a lot of it was creating back and forth jpeg to pdf...

I had Lloyd's. In my LOE i just wrote something like... 'I filed complaints, went into branches etc but was told they do not produce custom letters. I have attached my opening welcome letter showing when the account to was opened and 6 months of statements...Etc'

Also for my POF i had
UK account 1 - 20 pages of statements
UK account 2 - 6 pages of statements
Screenshot bank of Canada exchange
Canada account 1 - 8 pages statements
Canada account 2 - 3 pages statements
LOE and a few other bits

3.6mb!

They would have said yes to having had another name. There's a space to upload about that at the documents page.

I will try and compress it again!
Worst thing is i cant remember when i opened my bank as i was 18 and stupid and never kept letters!... Shall i try and justify it in my LOE?

You can just explain that in your LOE. Also try in branch, they*should* have a screen for staff that shows when the accounts were opened. Ask for a screenshot print out (get them to stamp it). Otherwise statements and an loe will be enough.
