Hi All,
I’m currently working as a PART TIME pharmacy assistant since 23rd July 2025 and I DO NOT have any foreign experience.
I recently received an ITA under the healthcare draw which occurred on 25th July 2026 (last week).
I received the ITA because I entered 30 hours in the “No. of hours per week” field because at the time I received the ITA, I worked a total of 1470 hours over a period of 48 weeks which averaged at 30.6 hours per week and I consulted with an agent before creating my EE profile and he said that i need not cap each week at 30 just to enter the no of hours per week in my EE profile.
He said that capping rule only applies to count your eligibility at the time of submission.
But if we actually cap each week at 30, I’m only averaging 28.4.
So please help me here whether I should have entered 30.6 or 28.4 as that decides whether I can proceed with the application submission before my deadline, because I’ll be completing my 1560 required hours by the 8th of August EVEN IF I COUNT MAX 30 HOURS PER WEEK, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE AVERAGE WILL STILL BE AROUND 28.8 at the time of submission capping each week at 30.
I already called IRCC thrice and all 3 of them gave the same answer which said “ we can only say that you need 1560 hours at the time of application submission, but we can’t tell you how many hours you need to enter in your EE profile as that is completely upto you.
PS: The deadline for submission is 25th August 2026
