ITA Received 10 days before completing one year Canadian experience!!!

Hello All,

Need your help!!

I created my Profile on 11th Feb 2021 and got my ITA on 13th Feb 2021.
My CRS score is 488. The Draw that happened on 13th Feb, the CRS score was 79.

My Question is. I will be completing my Canadian experience on 24th Feb , i got the invitation 10 days before 1 year. I have one year Outside Canada experience, that was the reason system allowed me to create the express entry profile. As we all know system calculates exp based on Month and year. So it gave me 1 Year Canadian Exp points. So shall i accept this invitation (means submit all my documents after 24th Feb) or just decline it and wait for another invitation?

How are you admitted in the CEC pool without a year of Canadian work experience?

@calvinklein i have one year of foreign experience. To create your profile you must be eligible for any 1 of the 3 express entry programs. I was eligible under FSW.. but as we all know system calculates as per months and year. So it gave me points for CEC as well though I did not complete one year

BTW I declined my invitation. I called CIC this morning and explained my situation. They said when you get your ITA you must meet MEC. It doesn’t matter if you submit your documents after completing 1 year. Also, agent said everything depends on the VO so better decline it and wait for another one.
