As per my knowledge, medical examinations are required to check on critical issues such as HIV, AIDS, and other major diseases that could endanger Canada or be a burden on the economy, so I think there is no issue in your case.
All my best wishes for you.

Thanks Andre! Hope as fast as it was for you ;)

Today I got "your application has been updated" email. I didn't pay attention to statuses yesterday, but I now see that review of eligibility is now in progress. I think the update is probably this.

Thats a good sign and at least you know that somebody has started working on your file.

Does it also show that your background check is in progress?

Would you mind sharing your timeline so far?

I just wished they would finally fix the ghost mail issue. You never know what to expect from a status update and 95% of the time, it seems like nothing has changed.

You have to check the requirements as shown on the website. If you haven't received your ITA yet, I can list all the details for you to get prepared.

N.b. Photos have to be taken maximum 6 months ago.
Best of luck

And keep in mind that you should also keep the current pr card photo requirements in mind so that you dont need to have another photo taken later on.

Hello Gego,

Yes, I have an ITA and I am just almost done with my application except the photo. I have my photo in pdf and I am trying to convert it to jpg. The site says:
The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the common output for most digital cameras.

Now how do I get this in this format?

Thanks

Hi, i am a bit confused now.. I have one year experience in total from three jobs, I put on my NOC code initially as NOC 6211 and got my ITA, however, Now i am confused is it to be NOC 0621.. my jobs duties are related to both the NOC's.

NOC 6211 is retail sales supervisor and NOC 0621 is retail sales manager.

Look at the description of each and the job duties described, then compare them to the job duties that are listed on the letter from your employers and choose the noc code that matches the job duties the best.

which province to choose?

Hey guys, hope everything is working tip top for everybody. I have a "not-so-important" quick question. ;D

Does it really matter which province you choose as your preferred location? I remember answering this at some point of the questionnaire.
I chose Ontario because I know that's where Toronto is and it is Canada's business capital. I would've chose British Columbia for reasons relevant to my line of work/industry if I had a second option as well.

But does it really matter in terms of the selection process? Coz, thinking about it, It seems that Toronto is also the most populous city in the country. So, wouldn't they be like, "Aw no. We got way too many people now. Bugger off!"??

I mean I'm just trying to bring some "thinkers" like me together ;)

I think it only matters if you want to get a letter of interest from a province to be considered for a provincial nomination.

If you are not planning to go the PNP route anyway, then i think you can just choose any preference you want and it shouldnt matter.
