I still remember last year, I was going crazy when I saw self-employment does not count CEC on the CIC website and was trying to find answers here.

So yeah, I am working in the IT field under my corporation name, and I claimed points under CEC and Got my PR card last month.

-- If your employers provide you with computers and all, decide what hours you work
-- You have one specific set of duties every day; for instance, Developer, Database Admin, IT support
-- Have invoices Bi-weekly/weekly/Monthly
-- Your employer is ready to give you saying letters saying the number of hours worked, pay, and job duties. You will be fine, please go ahead apply.

Get some help from Immigration lawyer, AS I used a lawyer, NOT Consultant because there were heaps of paperwork. ALSO do not believe in everything here, with all due respect to seniors, people don't know much about IT Contractor (Incorporation) and CEC. They just say it does not count...

Just because you incorporated doesn't mean you're self-employed.

Did you write yourself employment letters?

So you were self-employed as a consultant?

Interesting, definitely a lot of people need help with that, i really think it's something you need help with from an immigration lawyer too.

Correct! Yes LAwyers are better as there was paperwork and all, plus my agency paid it, so why not :).. Also consultants denied about this, I went to 3 different places and was told big NO, I cannot! lol,

Consultants have their limitations, if your case is out of the ordinary in some way, it's just worth it to shell out for a immigration lawyer.

There's no substitute for their expertise.

Good stuff though, congrats on it working out. It will give hope to others in your situation.
