very good evening to you dear members today an unexpected thing happened i received a mail from chc icluding the medical forms and mentioning that as your medical will expire in may 2011 there is not enough time to issue your visa and they asked me to re do the medical again for me and my wife ?????

noting that i still have more than 6 weeks for my medical to expire and that i have a friend in london to whom i can send the passports and he can collect them back and that my wife is pregnant and she is not allowed to travel after 15/6 so i guess if we did the medical again we will get stuck till she deliver and do the medical for the baby and include him in the application which will take tooooooo much time so putting in consideration all this what do you think the best thing to do ???

thanks in advance for your advise

i need reply please

Hi fadi76,

Well it is a fairly unique situation - if perhaps you had the patience to wait more than 41 minutes before bumping your post to the top, you may allow someone with some experience some time to answer.

Sound comment :)

"there is not enough time to issue your visa"
Doing what immigration requests is normally a reasonable move. (I know it is not always the case).

i know it is really boring to re-do the medicals for the 2nd time. This people do not know how expensive it is. They think that we pick the money like stones i do not understand.

Please just re-do the medicals as they have asked you to do them again. It will waste you a lot of tim, but at the moment that is the choice left for you

Wish you good luck.

I understand what you say, but this is just part of what in required when choosing the immigration path.
Many people underestimate the cost and time involved in the process, it is usually only when people get together in a forum like this that the reality is seen.

You certainly can try that but by the time you'll get reply, your meds might have already been expired by then.

They have asked you to redo medicals, they haven't given any option to you as to if you want to keep old or wanna redo them. I guess you'll just have to follow the instructions.

thanks for all your replies guys it was very helpfull but does any one think it is normal did any one hear about someone requested to re do the medical before it expires ??

The point is they are asking you to re-take medicals because they are not confident they can finalise your case before your current medicals expire. I very much doubt any communication to them will speed things up, since it is all based on brought forward dates and their timelines.

My advice would just be to take the medicals again as they have asked. I appreciate the extra time and cost must be frustrating, and one feels they should not have asked for the medicals in the first place if they weren't really in a position to issue the visa.

Best of luck with it,
Wayne.

Redoing Meds is not abnormal. At times due to the so called BACKGROUND CHECKS, London CHC ends up spending more than 10-11 months after the meds. They then request re-Meds. I have also seen a case at CHC London, who was asked to redo Meds and had to wait for months after his second MEDs before PPR was requested. Whats is surprising is that if CHC is not ready for a PPR, why did the ask for Redoing MEDs?

i really dont know why this happened to me although my case is really straight forward they even didnt reply to my emails in the past three months

Their reasoning is shielded from you hence you cannot infer or plead with them. I will advise that you do the medicals as requested. You are not the first neither will you be the last. It's a painful position to be in, called cost of emigration.

You need to send them a Case Specific Enquiry explaining the whole situation and ask politely that you want to travel before the expiry of your first medical due to the situation you explained here. If they are ready to entertain your request, then they will ask your wife,s consent and Doctor's declaration letter that the lady can travel safely by Air. It is better to send them all these things before asking to save time. You may try it, it can give you what you want, but will not harm you in any way.
