Hi There

I am very new in forum. I have been in Canada for last 5 months as a visitor and applied for LMIA. Still I am waiting for the approval of LMIA. My visitor visa will expire at the middle of April. I have a plan to extend the visitor visa unless get the LMIA meantime. But somebody told me if I go to border with an implied status even if I have an approved LMIA the immigration people may be make problem to give me work permit.

Expecting advice from the expert regarding this issue.

Hi Robin 123,

You should extend your visitor visa before it expires. It will not be an issue to go to the border to get your work permit if you are on implied status, the system will show that you already applied for extension.

Hi Sandra

many thanks for your kind reply. Now I am little bit stressless and taking preparation for visit visa extension. :)
