Hi I'm applying for study permit
In my letter of acceptance it mentioned that co op work placement is essential and integral ...
So what should I answer the question " is work an essential part of your studies? "
If I say yes it needs proof
What should I give for proof?
Just that letter of acceptance saying co op work placement is yes ????

But I asked from my college ..they didn't offer me coop letter
There has to be another letter that states work is an essential part of certain program u have been accepted to. I received that letter from George Brown College along with LOA.
Or maybe it is mentioned in your LOA if it is not from George Brown College

I'm having the same issue.
They didn't mention Co-op in my acceptance letter. Should I use No" as the answer if they ask "is work an essential part of my Studies? Or should I say yes? If yes,I don't have any document to support that.

You need to give us a clear answer -- does your course require co op for you to graduate ? If yes -- it should be mentioned in the LoA or a different letter -- you can attach that as proof. If no -- then mention No.

Alright. Thank you so much. It wasn't mentioned,so I will choose No.

You can later apply for coop work permit once you land in Canada. So if it is not mentioned as essential or if you don't have enough proofs now to prove it as essential, you can always apply for one later. So it is okay people.

I don't have any additional acceptance letter for mandatory co-op program. But they mentioned *Co-operative education fees (if admitted) in fee schedule attaching to my offer letter. Moreover, university provided me some co-op handout to apply for it later. I did it accordingly before their deadline. Now I am just waiting to get the list of their final selection. As still I'm not having any confirmation/proof of document from university that I am selected for that program, would it be wise to select YES for "Is work an essential part of your studies?" while applying for study permit?? Another thing univeristy mentioned into their co-op handout clearly' "The process of securing a placement must be a partnership between students and Co-operative Education and Workplace Partnerships. Although every effort is made to find a sufficient number of work term positions for all students enrolled in co-op, no guarantee of employment can be made. Securing a placement will depend entirely upon the student’s success during the application and the interview processes."
Please help me out!!!
