Is work an acceptable reason for requesting reschedule of oath ceremony?

Hi,
I just received my invitation to oath ceremony for April 17, but I am out of the country for work through the end of July. This job ends in July and then I will receive a pension, so it is VERY important to me. After that I will return to Canada where I plan to live permanently with my family. Is this an acceptable reason for requesting a rescheduling? Should I mention the pension part, or does that weaken my case since it accentuates my time away from Canada? Should I supply official employment documents with official translations in my request letter? This may take an additional 7-14 days to get (Mexican bureaucracy can be very slow). THANKS

Obviously it’d be best to ask a professional about this (like a consultant) to make sure that nothing will be impacted but I do know a person who have asked to reschedule because they were going to be out of country for family matters and don’t remember it being an issue. I guess it also depends on how you ask!
