Is travel document is issued as a separate document or stamped on Passport?

Dear All,

I am a landed immigrant 19th july, 2012, returned to Saudi Arabia after 9 days because of my job.
To be on safe side I need to apply for travel documnet in case CIC calls me for photos or something.

Can someone tell me that the canadian embassies are issuing travel Documnets as a separate document or
is it stamped on the passport?

My family is in there home country and I am in Saudi Arabia. If I apply for travel documents in Saudi Arabia i don't have my family's passports.

If you have made arrangement to send your PR card by courier to you up on arrival in the given address, then you don't have a problem.

Travel document to be applied at the Canadian embassy in the country where the immigrants are residing.

Travel document is a document issued by embassy and there is no endorsements on the passport.

If new photos are necessary CIC will inform you and you can mail it from Saudi Arabia. Now, no need to go to Canada to submit the photos.
