Is this landlord letter valid?

We asked our landlady to write a letter for us, to confirm that we lived together.
She then wrote the wrong moving out date.
So when we told her it was wrong she crossed it out, and wrote the correct date, and then signed her name under it once more.

It says "from 12/9/2013 to 4/4/2015"
"Florence 4th April 2015"
And then signed underneath.

Originally it said "from 12/9/2013 to 4/6/2015"
"Florence 4th June 2015"

Originally I was moving out in June. But that was changed and I moved out in April instead.

I know that you just have to prove that you lived together for 12 months.
So it wouldn't have mattered if it said April or June. We had still lived together for more than that either way.
2013 to 2015 is more than 12 months whatever month it is.

So anyway now we have this letter with a crossed out date.
Which to me looks weird, but will it be OK?

We wont be seeing the landlady again.
But we could possibly ask the agency that got us the apartment to write us a letter.

I'm not allowed to post links. But if you want to check out the letter its below.

I would say the letter is fine. If you can get one from the agency thats also good and tenancy agreement and any bank statements showing 12 months at the same address or joint bills.

Thank you!

We have a tenancy agreement as well as internet billing both of them in my common-law partners name.
I lived in Italy as a student and therefore didn't have any bank account in that country.
Or anything else as proof that I lived in that apartment.

Of course I can prove that I went to the school in that city.
The same school as my partner.
But that's it.

Long story short, that letter is all we got =) Hope it works!

If the crossing out was to make the time spent there LONGER I think you might have a bit more trouble, but I think since it's correcting it to a shorter period of time they probably won't even give it a second glance.

That's only if they can see that it says "June" underneath. She did cross it out pretty thoroughly =P
But since the year is not changed it should be fine.
It just looks weird to me having a date crossed out like that on an important document like this.

If there is any problem though, I hope they will be reasonable and just let me explain the situation.

Crossing out an item, hand-writing a correction, and signing or initializing the change is the standard way that modification to contracts are noted.
