I am also in ip2 since 2nd August.
Visa office is Ottawa.
Mailed them again a few days ago and received reply yesterday.
Same old stuff......
They can't confirm when file will be ready...... nothing required from my end. Officer will contact if more information is needed.
Seems like I've spent an entire month without any progress.
Wonder what's taking them so long.
Anyway I've ordered gcms notes and should be receiving them mid October.
Please post if you have any updates.

Does "We are processing your background check. We will contact you if we need further information" always indicate the application is in IP2 stage? I'm not sure where I'm currently at because my background check status indicates IP2 but my eligibility and criminality have not yet been assessed.

No sometime, IP1 and IP2 messages are same....but how do you know that eligibility and criminality are not yet assessed..

I called IRCC and asked the rep. She put me on hold for 2 minutes to check my file. I'm not sure if she saw the details or just read what I can already see on my account page.

Got an update. No email, but under the status I have the following change:

Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.

Other items are same:

Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Here is my timeline:

CEC Inland
Score: 467
AOR: August 20
MEP: September 5

BCG: "We are processing your background...." just after passing MEP on Sep 5th
Today just noticed the doc section got changed.

Any comments?

2 weeks back I have been told by CIC that my file is at the LVO.
I have noticed a subtle change in my account since this morning! After 6 months since AOR in April 25th, the BGC now reads "We are processing your background check. We will contact you if we need further information".

Is this IP2?

Application in CPC Ottawa
No updates from cic yet
Mailed once and called too.. agents said can't say when application will be finalised.
So so frustrating

Spoke to an agent on 2nd Oct and she said all checks had been completed but no decision had been made yet.
Mailed them and received a reply this morning that my application is still in Ottawa and being processed as per the regulatory timelines. They can't confirm when it will be finalised.
So so frustrating. It's been almost 3 months in ip2 since 2nd August. Can't understand why the delay....

Worrying about anything will not help.

Indeed our timelines are identical... They told me the same thing too when I called....we might get PPR same day.

Not easy to say when Sept 28 aors are getting PPRs
