hi guys could someone help me please.I am Assistant supervisor in retail stores and in one year from now my work permit ends and if i apply under canadian experience class should my employer support me with LMIA or not because i read in the site that if i had worked one year for that employer under valid work permit so please any one help me...thank you...

To be able to apply under EE/CEC you need a year of full time experince under NOC 0/A/B

You don't need the LMIA, but a job offer with LMIA will provide 50 points (or 200 but just in some cases).

Which NOC is your job?

You should check how is your EE score with and without a year of job experience to know about your chances of getting ITA

You should reared your EE profile ASAP and see how much is your score so far

Depending on your foreign experience perhaps you can qualify for FSW.

You should update your experience to one year when you get it to be eligible for CEC, however you have to wait until receive Invitation to Apply which depends on your score.

You need a English Test (CELPIP or IETLS), which higher score possible. Prepare it

You have some time, research about Express Entry, CEC and FSW.

Note you cannot continue working after your WP expires unless:

- You received a ITA and sent the application
- You received an AOR.
- You applied for BOWP based on AOR

You should update your EE profile whith 1 yeras Canadian experince (full time), when reached, let say January 15, 2018.

It's look unlikely you get ITA, send the application (you should prepare it in advance), get AOR and apply for BOWP before WP expires.

You have to be ready for:
- leave the country before WP expires.
- or apply for Status change to visitor before WP expires
(You'll need savings to survive 3-6 months of PR processing if you're able to get ITA)
Anyways you must stop working after WP expires

If there's anyway to improve your current score you should try:

Better english test (try CELPIP/IETLS), maybe French, foreign degrees evaluation (ECA)....
