Is there a difference between central intake office Sydney and case processing?

Last week I got an email saying my app was at CIO sydney, today I got an email saying it was at case processing office sydney? Is it just different wording for the same place, or is CPC a different department within the same building?
TIA

Yes - CIO is where the initial checks are done (R10 and A11.2), the your file gets transferred to LVO. If you're inland this will be a CPC, such as CPC-Sydney....

Basically every application goes to CIO for initial processing and then gets transferred to a CPC.

What confuses people is that the CIO is in Sydney, but there is also a CPC in Sydney.

So do you think my app is goign to sydney instead of ottawA? I went on the website and it says sydney doesn't process PR apps at their CPC, only ottawa does... this is why I'm confused haha

Yes, it's quite possible! IRCC will distribute you file as they see fit ;)

Now whether or not CPC-Sydney process PR applications I couldn't tell you... But if your APP is there then I'm guessing they do.

If you're inland get GCMS notes for free under the privacy act and check ;)

Does this work like that for PNP-outland applicants? I wonder if Application goes from CIO Sydney to LVO after initial checks.
