Is there a deadline by which you have to move, if EE application is approved?

My family was hoping to get an ITA by 2018, but the way things are moving, I think we may even get one by the end of H1'17. I'm not sure if we will be prepared to move so quickly. So I was wondering, if your EE application is approved, do you have to move right away? Is there an expiration date on your EE approval? Thank you!

You have to finish the landing before your TRV expires. Which is 1 year from the date of your medicals

Is there a way to extend this deadline, like retaking medicals? I am worried if i will get enough time to prepare if I get my PR approved close to the deadline. I know we can do soft landing but still it is going to be expensive to do that in short interval.

I don't know what is the process, but new medicals will be required for sure. Not worth it in my opinion. This is why it is suggested to keep medicals as close to eAPR as possible. I believe one would tentatively know that this landing is coming the day they submit their application. So better to be prepared well before to do a soft landing.

IRCC will give extensions for valid reasons, but I'm afraid "I need more time to prepare" is not a valid reason.

Valid reasons are things beyond your control like if your pregnant and wish to have baby in home country and can't travel...

IRCC will not issue you a visa with less than two months validity (or was it 6 weeks), so if you process extends to 10 months they'll ask you for new medicals before issuing your visa.

If you really need more time then soft landing is you're only option. If you do this then it's best to have a friend's address to get your PR Card delivered to and have him mail you the cards.
