sorry for my ignorance.. but is SOP really that important..??? i read in article which states that sop when u apply from india doesnt actually a criteria taken for visa acceptance.. is it true?

hello, SOP (Statement of Purpose) its full form itself tell its importance. So adding it with ur visa document will enhance ur chance. Ignoring it will not have any negative effect. Now its ur choice whether to enhance or keep neutral. :)...

In my opinion it is very helpfull. And its important. Rest its all u to decide..

SOP is not in the checklist for Study Permit.
People write SOP to explain their case to the VO.
But Visa has nothing to do with SOP.

I applied for my Visa in 2011, That time there was nothing called SOP.
But you can write it for your satisfaction.

Good Luck.

It's an important document specially for people who have work experience or have change in their previous academics. For example, if a IT graduate has done PG diploma in business Management or if one has moved from one industry to another in his work profile, it can only be explained in SOP. Hence, SOP is called heart of your application.

Cheers!

Yes SOP is must. Though in the checklist of CHC, you won't find it. But it's an important tool to give VO an overview of your intentions and does help to make it clear what you wish to do as there is no other form or place where you can write your motto.

Cheers!
