Is seeking asylum possible for me?

hello. i incarcerated in Turkey and as an inmate stayed in jail about 3 years.End of the case i acquitted of all convictions and released. Can i seek for asylum ? and if so whats the conditions of that?

You would need to secure a TRV (tourist visa) for Canada, then fly to Canada and claim asylum here when you arrive. You'll need a valid passport to apply for a TRV. Even with a valid passport, there's certainly no guarantee the TRV will be approved - or that asylum will be approved if you are able to get here and apply.

If you have family (spouse and children) that you would need to bring to Canada after the fact it will take 2.5-5 years.
