Does anyone know if there's a good source of up-to-date information and news about the PAFSO strike?

The PAFSO website doesn't seem to have any news within the last two weeks but I'd presume that people on both sides would be lobbying pretty hard to resolve the dispute one way or another? Or am I wrong - are both parties holding out until the other caves in?

I'm not sure how strikes work in Canada but in the UK, when there's a strike, normally it's announced well in advance and is only ever scheduled to last a matter of days to prevent disruption (not to mention the fact that the striking party isn't earning if they're not working).

I'm still getting very occasional emails from Immigration London (I had to update my address last week and got a reply within a few days confirming they've updated my application) but I'm in the dark as to what is working and what isn't and what the impact will be on our applications.

I'm slightly surprised that there aren't more threads on here about this so I must be missing something; what is it? :)

Yes - the strike still ongoing. There are many threads across the forum discussing this strike. This just happens to be a quieter section of the forum.

Here's an update you might find interesting:

Thanks for that. So that's a hearing for the Bad-faith bargaining complaint that has been lodged, rather than a hearing to actually resolve the original dispute...

I'm not sure what the win-win outcome is in this situation but I hope they find it soon.

Yes - that's how I read it as well.
