is open work permit or close work permit

Hi everyone,

I am a PGWP holder and working in a store under title B. My owner will sponsor me to get a positive LMIA in april. MY pgwp will expire in November 2016. My question is when I use my lmia to extend my work permit, the work permit is close or open? And usually what is time duration of this work permit?

I THINK IT WILL BE CLOSED FOR A DURATON OF A MAXIMUM 1 YEAR .

An LMIA sponsored work permit is a closed one. And its validity is by the duration of the job on LMIA, which is up to 2 years (no matter the contract length is more than 2 yrs)
