Hey

I am a Radio Frequency Engineer but I am a slightly not sure if I should use NOC 2147. "Radio Systems Engineer" is the closest title mentioned in the list of titles for my occupation. Also, the job responsibilities are slightly different but the courses required to specialize in this field are same as the courses that are mentioned under this NOC. I tried contacting NOC team with exact job duties of mine and they provided me a NOC code that belongs to a mechanical design engineer.

If there are any RF Engineers in this forum then please comment or advice.

Thanks

What matters with NOC codes is the job duties, not the job title.

If the mechanical design engineer NOC has duties that are a better match to yours, you can choose mechanical design engineer. But you don't have to.

If 75% of the duties for 2147 match the duties you perform in your job, then you can select that NOC, even if there is an NOC whose job duties match yours more closely.

NOC code 2147 worked for me as an RF Engineer. I have included an LOE to be a safer side.

Hope it helps if there are any RF/Telecommunications Engineers

Hi,

Did this NOC-2147 work for you?

Thank you so much, I'm a telecom engineer and i'll go with 2147, However, do I need to register with engineering Canada?

Hi I’d like to seek opportunity in Canada as an RF design engineer. I mainly work on the base station circuit and system. Is it easy to find a position in Canada? Do you have any experience? Thanks!
