Is my child a dependent even if he is a citizen?

My wife is sponsoring me and I am currently living in Canada.

My son was born in Canada last year. He is a Canadian citizen.

Do I need to include him as a dependent on the following form:

Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]

No you do not. He will only be included on the Additional Family Information form.
