My wife and I applied together in July 2023. We did our tests during the same time period. Fast forward to Sept 2024, my application shows the citizenship ceremony has not started (all 5 items are green) while my wife's application shows background verification and prohibition in progress. Is my application on hold while they are processing my wife's application? It's been 4 months and I still have not received the oath ceremony.

If you applied as a family, you're supposed to have your oath ceremony together, so yes, as long as your wife's application isn't finalized, you won't get your oath either...
If you want to be done with it without waiting, you can ask IRCC to separate the application. Call the or send a webform in that case.

Euh, there's only one method to call them, and their phone number is easily found online. But speaking with an agent isn't necessarily easy, as they deal with a huge amount of calls every day. Takes some luck. I believe sending a webform would be more effective to at least be sure to reach IRCC.
If you applied together, yes, they are held until they are both ready. That's what it means.

- Wish to ask for your file to be transferred to a different office, or
- Applied as a family and you wish to separate the file.
- Unique Client Identifier Number (UCI),
- File ID number,
- Name,
- Address,
- Telephone number, and
- The reason why the application should be processed separately or in a different office.
