Hi, I applied for PR from within Canada, spousal sponsorship. I am living with my husband at his work residence which is a remote fly-in location- for some context, we get dropped off by helicopter by his government employer and cannot leave for any non-emergency. I received my requests for biometrics and medical exam around July 8, stating I have until August 8 to submit them, but I cannot get to a biometrics center or a physician until my husband's contract ends. I have appointments lined up already for the soonest possible date, September 6!
It's my understanding that this is a pretty valid reason to ask for an extension for my medical exam/biometrics, seeing as we physically cannot just leave this place.
I contacted IRCC by webform to inform them of this, details about my husband's job were plentiful in my PR application, and I asked for an extension of ~40 days for both requests, to give ample time in case anything messes up. I have not yet received a response and I am very worried about the request letters claiming my application can be denied if the deadline passes. If someone does not view my webform inquiries before August 8, could the person processing my application deny me before this important information is relayed? I tried calling IRCC Call Centre this entire past week to more quickly inform them of this, and cannot get through to a real human.
Should I be worried, keep calling, or is this going to be a non-issue? Thank you.
