Is my app stuck in Mississauga? Or is this normal?

If your app was sent to Ottawa...then it is processed in Ottawa. I guess you have an email of transfer. If there was a copy sent to Mississauga ...it just means they have their way of working on the applications....But to my point you are not stuck in MIssissauga, dont you worry.

Since now inland apps have to be completed in 12 months, it just makes sense that for outland apps, the average processing time will slowly come up. CIC is pressured to finish their 2015 and 2016 inland apps so they are probably getting that done which explains the delay. Ottawa it's the only VO with this issue. Also, inland and outland will have the same processing time according to their website so that's why we are seeing a lot less 3-4 months Ottawa processed applications. Remember foreign Vo's don't process inland so they don't have that pressure. They need to start hiring if they wanna keep up with the demand and at the same time finish the ones already being processing. I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa's VO processing time will be set at around 8-10 months just like many of the foreign VOs, at least until they catch up.

This is probably the most concise and logical way I've heard this issue explained. Makes perfect sense, good post.

That makes so much sense, but what about those of us who haven't even been sent to Ottawa yet. I don't know about Jeff, but there are some of us who haven't received anything in terms of a transfer for now 5-7 months..
we hear 'we have everything we need, we will transfer you asap.' yet nothing.. for months.. and people who applied after us who will be processed in Ottawa have been transferred there.
something isn't adding up.
