I applied for Canadian citizenship with my minor kid under 14.
I recieved a tracker updated that my oath is scheduled in mid September. My kids tracker shows the same. He is currently out of Canada. I understand that he is not required to be at the oath ceremony but is he required to be physically present in Canada during oath?

P.S- I can get his PR card shipped and cut it during oath if required. He is also a US citizen so he can come to Canada via US with US birth certificate and Canadian Citizenship certificate.

Could you share your experience? Did your minor travel back to Canada for the oath?

Hi, I'm currently in Canada, but my son, who's a minor 4.5 years old, is overseas and will be there for a few months. He's the only one in my application. Since minors don't have to attend the ceremony, I'm thinking of representing both of us during the Oath. I was wondering if getting his PR card cut after the Oath would work. Since you've already been through the Oath ceremony, could you please share your experience and let me know if this would work? What kind of questions do the officers typically ask about the minor? Do they inquire about whether the minor is in Canada or not? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
