Is Mechanical Engineering applied science or general?

Hi,

I received my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from university in a country outside Canada. In my Bachelor's degree, which I received from the university, "Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering" is written. Now, in "Field of study", what should I choose? "Sciences, General" or "Science, Applied"? or maybe something else?

Thank you very much for your reply. I have faced another question. I completed my mater's in Canada and received a degree of "Master of Science" in "Earth Sciences" program. Is it also "Science, Applied"? or it is "Sciences, General"?
