I would like information on the following

my niece has done her MBBS from Russian university. She is landed immigrant and wants to
move to Canada.

Will her degree be recognised in Canada? What exams does she have to clear to be able to
do residency in Canada.

Thanks

Her degree won't be fully recognized in Canada. She will need to be certified in Canada before she will be able to work. More information here:

Studying medical education from the top-ranked medical universities in Russia is a dream of many students. All medical universities follow a high standard of education to give better knowledge to students. Applicants can easily apply for admission by qualifying for the NEET examination.

There are lots of NMC/MCI approved medical universities for MBBS Study in Russia to which applicants can apply. All the universities offer budget-friendly medical education to the aspirants. It is the best abroad destination to complete the MBBS degree and become a doctor. The Duration of the MBBS program in Russia is 6 years and the MBBS program fee is USD 18,250 minimum. MBBS In RUSSIA is 100% recognized in Canada.
You are replying to a post from 2015. Although the degree is recognized by Canada as a professional degree, it does not allow the IMG to practice medicine in Canada. A Russian graduate will need to pass the licensing exams plus secure a residency and redo their residency in Canada. Residencies can be very difficult to secure given the limited number available after Canadian medical graduate select their residency program. Any IMG arriving from Russia must consider that they will never practice medicine in Canada.
