I am in Canada as visitor and I will receive OWP after my visitor record will expire. Therefore, I will be on maintained status for a few weeks.

Is maintained status an actual status, or my status will remain visitor status until I receive the OWP?

You will have maintained status as a visitor.

You will have maintained status as a visitor.

Thanks. And do I need to inform IRCC via webform that I am still in Canada on maintained status while I wait for my OWP? And do I need to inform IRCC when I will receive OWP that my status changed from visitor to worker?

Also, should they reject OWP while I am on maintained status, how many days do I have to leave Canada without being out of status? Can I stay in Canada out of status with PR application ongoing? Can I apply for status restoration and visitor record extension after OWP rejection?

No, you don't need to inform IRCC of anything.

If the OWP is refused, you would immediately fall out of status in Canada. Yes, you can try applying for restoration to a visitor record if this happens. You can also try to stay in Canada without status while your application is processed. However this is not the best path. Restoring your status would be a much better option.
