Sponsoring my irish husband. His office is in London. Is it worth getting GCMS notes? Ill be requesting them for since I'll be in Canada during the process and he will be in Ireland waiting. Should I order them at a certain time? Do you guys think it's worth it?

Its well worth it, it allows you to counter any concerns by the VO by seeing how they feel about your application and then sending in the corresponding new evidence to alleviate their concerns.

I personally will order one every 2 weeks to keep on top of things, but I won't order one until one month has passed after my VO receives the application because there won't be much info int he beginning.

Thank you!

When do you recommend I order them? And how do I go about doing that? Can I do it for my husband or is it something only he can access? It is a little confusing to understand to be honest! Does it make sense to order them now or should we wait until maybe July/August when his case is already in London?

I'm ordering them every month (ordered first ones last friday). 2 weeks seems like a little much. Every month allows you to stay ahead of them imo.

Do you recommend or order them now or once I get approved for sponsorship?

if you don't have SA yet, there probably aren't any notes for your file. Considering you submitted your application in may, and they are just now working on applications from April 1, your application technically hasn't even been opened yet, so you wouldn't even be able to order notes. As mikey mentioned above, it's not going to do anything to apply for notes until at least 1 month after THE APPLICANT'S application has been received by the Visa Office.

Yea, I wouldn't order anything until about 1 month after you get SA. I ordered mine (about 2 months after SA, well, itll be 2 months in 6 days :P) cause I want to make sure it's in Moscow and not lost. Last thing I need is to not order notes, and find out in a year the file was lost and never made it there. Yea yea, I'm paranoid :)

yeah we plan to order one by July and that will be two months since our application was sent to the vo

I ordered my notes after 9 months (processing time was 14) and it showed me: nothing. My file was still in Vienna at the reception and nothing had been started at that point. I personally would wait 4-5 months before ordering them for the first time but everybody has to make this decision for themselves

yeah it worth it spending 5 dollars to at least confirm the vo got your package and it not lost or something . Again it depend how fast they are working on applications recieved just two months or few months before yours . You never know yours might be opened . In my case the vo is working contacting applicants who applied two months before us and they are getting ppr so it worth it. .

hello,
i am just curious ..once you order the notes and see what objections the vo may have...where and when would you send any additional proof you may have? would you send it even if they dont ask for it?

you would send the information to the visa office handling your case. some people suggest sending additional proof to support the application if you can tell what the concerns are, and there are others who subscribe to only sending information when it's requested. i'm sure this question will start an interesting debate...

yeah maybe you should , if it officially over and you have divorce you shouldn't worry though. You can simply tell them
Not to take serious what he says because he's just trying to ruin your life etc . Am sure they can tell . It all depends on what he says . Did you officially divorce him
