Is it true? Canadian employers don't respect anything but a Canadian degree.

I've got a degree in Computing and Information Technology. Is it true that employers don't recognize my degree?

Not true at all.Just be curious as to learning how you can be a better employee. You know, "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!"
Start applying honey and butter.Hope you are getting my point ;)

You are technically incorrect. Canadian companies recognize degrees from other commonwealth countries (England, Scotland) and the USA.

Other users on this forum have report their degree from India was accepted in Canada. You should get your credentials evaluated.

That being said, you can upgrade your degree or obtain a diploma in Canada (you can even take online classes sometimes, so you can start while your application is processing). That way you WILL have a Canadian degree.

I would say that, Canadian employers do appreciate Canadian degrees and Education compared to foreign education credentials.

Comparing to employers in USA, Gulf and Australia, employers in Canada give more weight to Canadian education and not foreign education.

Hi,

It is what it is. Not to be afraid to call a spade a spade. it's true that Canadian employers don't recognize diploma outside Canada, especially regulated occupations such as doctor, .... Internationally Educated Professionals, called they immigrants having non-Canadian degrees, can get bridging programs or similar ones and have to pass qualification and/or provincial exam to continue their profession in Canada.

Don't be surprised. Be prepared for.

No worry. After landing, you will get support to be integrated. How it is quick depending on your capability to adapt the new environment.

Rgds.
