We sent everything in at once, sponsorship application and all of the paperwork for my hubby. We did not send the app for OWP because we had to apply for a visitors extension (his had JUST expired). They issued him a 2 year extension on the Visitor visa, but he would really like to get back to work. His employer has called him a few times here and there asking if we have any good news yet. We can only hope they do not give up on him, he misses working! He worked for 4 years on temp work permits, but when the company applied for another LMO, they were told no because unemployment in PEI is very high.... lots of people here are on seasonal work, so winter is a time for EI.

Does anyone know if it is to late for us to send in an application for OWP? Considering they already have his application for Immigration.

Unfortunately, it is too late.

Since you applied last October, perhaps he will get AIP soon which will allow him to the apply for an OWP at that time.

Of course, by then he might as well just wait for his PR and save the $155 for the OWP.

We will apply for it.... My friends got Sponsorship approval a year and a half ago, and have yet to hear anything more.....
