Is it still time to apply for a study permit for winter session?

I applied for a University in Alberta. The lady said it could be processed within the week.
The program starts on January 5th. If I get the LOA, can I still apply for the winter session, that is 3 months from now. (The processing time page says the study permit takes 13 weeks)

Do you need biometrics? 12 weeks is December 22 & is the average processing time. Cutting it close with the holidays but you can try.

If you are in India its very very close. Biometrics slot booking is horrible in India. if you are applying make sure you confirm with university defer is allowed else dont. It will be a mess. It all depends on when you will get the biometrics and have you completed the upfront medical, only if its India
