Is it possible to send baggage to a Canadian address before I land there?

I have a friend in Ottawa, ON to whom I plan to send some of my extra baggage before hand and my landing is planned almost three months from now. As I am currently working at a foreign land, I won’t be able to move my extra luggage from this country once I shift from here. Hence my plan is to send the luggage in advance to Canada while I am still here in this foreign country.

Please advice if the above is a feasible option.

I don't think so. Your baggage must either come with you or after you. In both cases, you have to fill the related forms. If you send these in advance, they will be subject to taxes and customs.
