Is it possible to convert dependent open work permit to independent work permit

Hello All,

Due to my wife project work assignment(independent visa), I have got dependent open work permit but due to some issue, her project goes on hold but my company is still willing to give me work in Canada.

So is it possible for me to convert my dependent open work permit to independent work permit.

Kindly advise the process.

Yes - your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA. You can then apply for a closed work permit.
