Is it possible to be asked to reconfirm your savings once sponsor is approved?

Hello all.

My wife and I have submitted our application for a PR card. I (sponsor) have already been approved while my wife (Chinese) is in process now.

A friend in Canada would like to borrow some money and I'd like to lend it, however, it's locked up in our savings deposit.

We can get the money out without problem, but I'm wondering if it's possible that we'll be asked to resubmit another savings deposit or otherwise be asked to reconfirm our savings. It would be difficult to do with the money lent out.

My question is if anyone has experienced anything similar, or know if it's a possible occurrence?

It's probably possible, but very unlikely, I've never heard of anything similar happening. If you're concerned and would still like to lend the money, then get the loan in writing. That way, should you be asked again, you can show what you have in savings and also that the missing money is loaned and will be returned to you, not just gone.
