Hello All,

Been a long time since I post my last question. Recently, got favorable Ielts results. So, most likely the next draw will be mine. Though I had an urgent question to ask:

Basically, my work experience tenure is as follows:
June 2015 - Jan 2016 - Worked in a company through agency
Feb 2016 (Hired by the same company I worked in through agency) - Working till present

So, currently my EE profile shows 1 year wrk exp from June 2015, the time I was working thorugh agency which will be 2 years in June 2017. But the thing is my current crs points with only 1 year experience is 431.

So, acc. to the current trend, I guess I will be able to get ITA with 1yr exp.
So i am thinking of withdrawing my current profile and creating a new one showing the experience from the time I was hired by the company (i.e from Feb 2016). This way I dont need to show proofs like T4's, experience letter etc. from both the agency and the company.

I hope my query is understandable. Please advise if this is ok to do.

You dont need to create a new profile, you can update your existing one.

Good luck!

Thanks Omar

So basically its ok to ignore some part of my work experience and only show the one which I think will be good enough for my application.
I dont want it to happen later on when the govt is like Ohh you didn't show us all your experience while you have worked fr your company

It is not an issue, you are under no obligation to claim points for all your work experience.

You must however list this employment in the personal history section once you receive your ITA.

Hi there,

+1 fr your quick response.

Though I didn't understand the second line. Would i be listing that agency part of my work history in the personal history section and that too after I have already received an ITA.
Please advise.

Why do you want to remove your agency experience? here in canada almost all agencies provide job letter with all info CIC looking for. infact they have a template. why waste points when you actually worked

NO because actually the thing is if I count my work exp from June 2015 to June 2016 which is one year, then both the agency and the company comes into the picture as I was working through agency from June 2015 to Jan 2016 where afterwards I was hired by the company.

But if I count my experience from Feb 2016 to Feb 2017 which is one year already, this time only company comes into the picture. So this keeps my profile simple and straight.

I basically don't have to ask my agency for any experience letter or other stuff. I would only bother my company for all this since I've only counted their experience.

Just FYI: I have 431 pts on 1 yr exp so I guess I dont need to wait until June 2017 for second year completion.

The personal history section only appears once you receive an ITA - that's where you must include this work experience - no proof for such period of employment will be required.
