Do as they say....It more then likely means they are not going to have your application approved by the time they expire...its good they want a remed it means you get more time to Land...Call the same Dr you went to for the first ones....it may be as simple as another xray....the info will be in the emedical file with the Dr but be ready to repeat everything....

When CIC requests more medical information before the medical has expired, it usually means there is somthing they want to investigate further. This is usually the possibility of TB, requiring another X-ray.

4.3.2 Upfront Medical (IMM 1017B Upfront)

UFM examinations are performed when clients report to a panel physician for their IME before a visa application has been submitted to CIC. Clients who are eligible for UFM examinations will not have a Medical Report (IMM 1017) issued by CIC nor will they have an existing file in the eMedical system.

Panel physicians should not refuse to examine these clients.

Panel physicians must ensure that they provide the client with the proof of having completed their upfront medical examination. For eMedical, the proof is the “Information Sheet” letter that they will print. For paper-based upfront medicals, it is the top page of the IMM 1017B Upfront form. Clients must include this proof when submitting their visa application.

Since an IME is valid for 12 months, panel physicians should remind clients to submit their visa application along with the proof of having completed their upfront medical examination well before the expiration of the 12 months; otherwise, the client may have to undergo a second IME

In your case, I won't rush to do it, except the e-mail specifically states re-medical or to do the medical again.

When you check her ECAS, what does it say regarding her medical results ?

If not, I will suggest your send a Case Specific enquiry to clarify if they require her to do another medical as her current medical is valid till April 2015.

It is possible they don't even have her medical result in the system.

It is very common for CIC to ask for re-medical. Also generally means that processing of your file is near completion. Every 2nd application is asked for re-medicals at NDVO due to the 17 month timeline.

FYI...you have 30 days to provide the info..that means you have 30 days to make an appointment...have the exam based on what is in the medical file and have CIC open the file...in out case we rec'd a letter to have remeds dated 27 May 2015 and then a third request that the CIC Dr didn't have a clue what they wanted as there was nothing in the medical file...CIC could not open the attachment and after all is said and done it took 162 days...it involved the CIC Dr emailing..calling ..the CIC help desk calling and emailing as well as my husband emailing before we figured out what was going on...We had to go to LA for an interview and the Case Manager said that if the medical had been reviewed, they had it but had not bee reviewed she would have given us the PR right there and then...that was Nov 3rd 2015...we have DM as of 12DEC2015 but still do not have the COPR in hand...so Get the meds done ASAP...for us the whole remed has been a nightmare ...Dont let it happen to you...

I forgot...there is someone else in the site and I do not know their profile name but they are having the same problem as us with CIC not being able to open the attachment...CIC has your future in their hands....

Following is the CIC link regarding re-medical

I'm wondering if your last comment isn't what happened - the original poster said the medical wasn't done until April, but the application was done in January...thinking they might not have hooked the two up properly. Definitely worth sending a case specific email, but also make an appointment for 2-3 weeks from now just in case.

And for Sunset - I got an acknowledgement today (reply from an email I sent) that they received my new meds, which were submitted last week. Now whether they can actually open it.. :o

I am betting they opened it!!!...the CIC dr...the help desk and my husband did not get any response for 2.5 months...

I have been sent a letter for re-medicals for my husband (who is not the primary applicant)... I got a notification stating that there has been an update in my profile but when I logged in I couldn't see the letter/notification.... can you advice where exactly to look for updates??? I am getting scared if I miss out on any other letters/updates/intimations....

Also, is there a mail id I can write to for updates/intimations etc.???? I am based out of Delhi, India.

You are still with in the 1 year average processing time. It is an average so some are faster and some are slower. If they want you to redo your medical you will be informed but often the requirement is waived if it is just over expiry.
