Is it normal CIC ask for a second medical exam?

My medical will expire in May. However, CIC requests me to finish exam within 30 days. I have rescheduled it to next Wed.. Hope I will get response from CIC before that.

Which date your medical expires?

If you are willing to risk about $250 for a slight possibility of a faster PPR by few weeks or months, then do your medical right away. Otherwise, I would recommend you do the medicals about 3 weeks before the expiry, assuming you dont have health problems. That way you have wiggle room in case if your Panel Physician posted the result quite late...

Hey mofan ! Cheers you dont have to worry about. I am in the same situation as you as I did my medical February 1st 2014.my wife finish her June 9th same year due pregnancy.but we got some more delay due to my wife's medical condition.and RMO requested for a specialist report last November. Until now I have not heard of them.so officially my medical was expired already.I dont worry of my case but more than on my wife's case.as they can extend your medical up to 18 months if you are knside Canada. But its their disgression. Look for articles regarding medical panel handbook online and you will see.i guess why they are not requesting for remedical on my part . good luck to us.☺☺

Thank you! I have surprisingly received PPR last Friday. I guess my two emails worked, although I did not get any response from CIC regarding my second MR.
I have sent out passports yesterday. The wait beginned again.
I hope you will get PPR soon. Good luck to you!

Thank you man!
I am in Vancouver. So, as soon as I get passports back, I will drive down to US and probably do some shopping then come back to finish the landing?
Now I have another question, if I buy a lot of stuff in US, are they all duty-free? ;D
