Dear Seniors,

I am in the process of submitting full documents.

I have my initial application with me and I have few changes such as passport no., etc.

Regarding other forms which will not be changed, Do I need to refill it and signed as of latest date.

This is because filling the form takes lot of time and it cannot be saved.

Hi

If you have not made any changes in those forms then you can send the same but you will need to put the current date and sign.

mention in cover letter of the changes like passport no or etc. you do not need to refill the forms again. sign and put latest date.

If one has not send the full docs yet then its better to update the forms with the current details and mention in the cover letter that passport number etc has been updated.

Cheers

hi saki!

i slightly disagree with you here. the purpose of cover letter is to mention changes and to avoid sending again the filled forms. whats the point of sending a cover letter if you are sending new completed form again.thats what i have done myself. i had a new passport. i mentioned in the cover letter of this change refering it to no.18 in the application for permanant residence in canada but didnot fill this form again "application for permanat residence in canada" . i also sent photocopies of all application forms which i sent to cio before as the guide lines clearly say that.

I believe that it is still important to send a cover letter if there have been material changes to your application between time time of submission to Sydney CIO and submission to the visa office. The cover letter is the place where the applicant can expain any changes to the visa officer. For example, when I applied to Sydney CIO, my first AOR came back under FSW 2 even though I qualified under FSW 1 and FSW 3. Before I submitted my docs to the visa office, I lost my job in Canada and changed to a new job that was not permanent. I explained this change in the cover letter. When I landed as a Permanent Resident, my COPR stated that I was here under FSW 3 rather than FSW 2. Had I not expalined the changes in a cover letter, my application may have been rejected on its face.
