Is it necessary to take the services of an Canadian Lawyer

My friend got his PR. He was an engineering graduate and Masters in Business Administration. He took the services of a Canadian lawyer. He is advising me to take the lawyer's services because I don't have masters and my CRS assuming I get IELTS CLB 8,7,7,7 is only 402 which is too less to get an ITA. He is saying, the lawyers know how to get you PNP fast. Otherwise, I would be just waiting and waiting.

How true is that?

Hi,

Taking the help of a Canadian lawyer will surely be helpful. They would be able to guide you better regarding the processes as well as they would be able to prepare your file in time to submit to various provinces when they open for file submissions. Assuming your CRS to be 402, you have a good chance of being nominated by Ontario.

Unless you have a complicated background which could have legal implications, there's no need to hire a lawyer or consultant. Hiring someone else to do your work won't magically boost your points. If you are serious about moving to Canada, spend time and do your own research. All the information you need to know is out there and Google is your friend. Do you think a lawyer would dedicate 100% of his time to your case? No he won't. But you can.
