Hi all,

I was wondering if it is necessary to show the work experience I have in India. I am struggling with finding the appropriate NOC for it and would not want to risk my application being rejected.

I have 1 year of Canadian experience and a masters degree, which gives me enough points for an ITA.

So wanted to know what are the views of the members here

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

It;s not necessary to show your all experience. Just mention the only one that you're getting points.
If you won't mention then you won't get point for that experience.

There's two sections you can use. The work experience section is used for any work experience for which you're claiming points. In your case, that's the year in Canada. That is the only experience you need to prove, because it's in that section.

Your Indian work experience should be mentioned, but in the personal shenanigans section (I don't recall the actual name). Just means you aren't expecting CRS points for it and don't have to prove it happened.

Thank you so much for the reply!!

That sounds reassuring. Just a small follow up question. I am assuming I would need to explain in the LOE as to why I am not claiming points for that work experience right? Otherwise it may raise doubts?

Nah, they don't really care as long as the experience you are claiming points for is valid
