Is it necessary to meet 'Employment requirements'?

Hello expert,

i want to apply federal skilled worker program as advertising account executive under Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations NOC 1123. but it shows Employment requirements such as:
'A university degree or college diploma in business marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, museology or a discipline related to a particular subject matter is usually required.' I have done my M.Sc in physics and i have been working in advertising for last 10 years. Can i apply under NOC 1123 though i dont have business degree?please help as i am very confused.

It is usually not required for FSW application (unless your NOC is in a specialized and professional field like a medical field for example), and is usually a guideline for what's required to find an employment in the designated NOC. Besides, if your advarertising is in a physics-related field, then you are covered by the bold part of the quote.

I don't think that your education is important as long as what you have worked with (your duties match) the duties mentioned in NOC 1123. You get points for your education of course but you can apply for the NOC that you have worked with and have experience in. I am doing the same thing

The key wording is bold underlined. It does not say "always required".
