Hey there everyone..
I m a canadian national by birth but havent actual lived thr, i hv been therr for visits.
I got married in sept 2011, baby boy in aug 2012, whose also a canadian by birth n we filed the application for sponsorship outside canada one in march 2013.
In April 2013, i received an email from cic that decision has been taken about the sponsor and a letter has been sent to sponsor telling her abt the decision and the application file has been forwarded to ISB canadian embassy Pakistan. Since that, there is no reply, nor i have received any letter. I emailed thm in october telling thm that i didnt receive any letter but no reply..
Now someone guided my husband that because i(sponsor/wife) doesnt live in canada, chances are that the application will b rejected. So my husband is planning to send n our child to stay canada till his application doesnt approve or till we dont hear from thm. I m trying to find another way, of staying here wd husband.. Just want to know is it true?
I remember in a form there was a question asking for proof if the sponsor is living outside canada but plan to live in canada once the applicant get PR and i answered that question by replying that rite now we are only saving money and i'll b dong teaching courses n he(my husband) will b doing courses in IT which is in demand thr so we both can good jobs. Was that enuf? Because living here, n getting a property thr or job letter sounded ridiculous to both of us...

If the sponsor is a Canadian citizen, they don't have to live in Canada during the application.
However, if you cannot show that you intend to return to Canada to live permanently, the application will certainly be questioned and may be refused. The sponsor has to convince the Visa Officer who is processing the application that this is the intention. How you do this, is up to you. There is no single formula. Search the forum to see what others have done.

I also have the same problem but my husband (sponsor) approved for the sponsorship and now these days he lives with us for 7 months and they asked to show the ability for financially support ourselves once we come to canada. we sent the proofs but they have refused us saying that we have not proved that his ability to financially support ourselves by him. so, I also dont understand what they expect from us. we have showed all the ways that we do jobs once we come to canada and his sister has given a letter saying that she gives her house for us to say once we come to canada. so what else they expect from us?
but I asked my husband to go back to canada and do a job and show.
i dont understand what else to do?
if somebody knows the right answer please help us.....
thanks
