from my own experience, finding a job with my qualifications 8 months ago in Vancouver, BC was not that tough.

However, the situation now is different. Getting a job at this time not be easy. It all depends on your qualifications, location and job market influenced by economic down-turn.

Start from now on applying for jobs found in this website: http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/prov_eng.aspx?OfferpPage=50&Student=No
Email prospective employers with your resume and a cover letter, mentioning that you will be landing on (date) in (province) Canada and you are interested in.....
That did work for me once!
