Hoping somebody could confirm this for me as recent information seems vague and I’ve been scouring the forums and google for a clear answer.
Can i flagpole to extend/activate a closed work permit instead of doing the online application? Or I will soon be passing immigration in the airport at Montreal also.
I am currently at federal stage of pr application under Quebec selected skilled worker, and currently have a valid open work permit and csq.
I have an officially filed offer of employment number from my current employer and I am LMIA exempt under a75 and I am from a visa waiver country so I don’t need TRV.
Sounds like it’s much easier/quicker to do so at the border but I get the impression they don’t want you to do it that way generally. Basically I don’t want to do the wrong thing/it’s not exactly clear if it’s possible or exactly what I have to take.
