I am Barjinder Singh, an Indian national working as a digital designer in Dubai, UAE from last 6 months. I recently applied for 1 year media design course in British Columbia Institute of Technology and got admission. The session starts in April. As of my background, my family is living in India. My IELTS score is 8.0. I had no doubts regarding applying for Visa from UAE untill I recently went through some posts on this forum. I generally saw mixed response as many people were advising to apply from your home country as their visa got rejected from UAE due to home ties issue but many people have said they successfully got visa from UAE.
So, I need your opinion on this. I am working here for only 6 months, my family is well settled in India. I have got funds. Can they still reject visa because of this home ties issue? Please feel free to give your advice.
And apart from that, what is the best time to apply for Visa if my course starts in April 2014. I have already got the acceptance letter.
